YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO AFFECT AURORA’S DECISION ON IT’S CURRENT BREED-BAN IMPLEMENTATION AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We’re looking for the citizens of Aurora and surrounding areas help us encourage the Aurora City Council in their current efforts with changes to Aurora Animal Ordinance changes to chapter 14-75 of the city code. Residents have a great city council representation that are open to hearing fact-based and responsible legislation opinions regarding Breed Restrictions in Aurora.

Our position is similar to that of the American Bar Association, ASPCA, Humane Society, AVMA, and various other professional dog and legal resources – that Breed-specific legislation is irresponsible in that it prevents responsible owners from getting their dogs training and veterinary care to prevent aggressive behavior. Additionally, we acknowledge that most data disproves the idea that the most targeted breeds are more aggressive than others. We’re hoping the Aurora City Council has access to the comprehensive data supporting this, and we are looking for your help to find and post links to relevant studies, opinions, testimonials and etc. to the links below.
