As we move into election season, and with ballots coming out in Aurora in the next few weeks, it’s time to do everything we can to educate our neighbors and neighborhoods about this initiative. We have all the tools necessary, voter guides, voter FAQs, flyers, stickers and more to help in the outreach. What we do not have is the money it takes to educate voters on an issue many didn’t even know would be on the ballot. Now we just need dog lovers with the time to go out and make sure Aurora knows the truth about breed bans – that they are ineffective and often make our communities less safe!
We need digital canvassers to:
-Post information on Nextdoor
-Share voter FAQs and guides to Colorado and Pit-specific social media groups
-Send messages to friends & family in Aurora
Additionally, our team is ready to get involved in any negative responses, providing talking points and support against the dog-haters.
